Residents of North Houston mourned the loss of 11-year-old Josue Flores at La Paz funeral home yesterday.

Hundreds attended the wake from all over Houston to pay their respects. It's been six days since Josue Flores was viciously stabbed to death while walking home from school.

HPD wrongfully charged Che Calhoun with Josue's murder, those charges were dropped on Friday, and he was released. The killer remains on the loose.

The Flores family has held on to their faith and thankful for the support from their neighbors. "Of course we are sad because this is a tragedy a big tragedy for us but without the help of God and the community we wouldn't have made it this far as we have today."

Josue will be laid to rest tomorrow at Historic Hollywood Cemetery.
