Video released in search for suspect in abduction attempts
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes unit has released video of a suspect in the attempted abduction of two women.
Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables arrived to North Vista Drive near North Glade Drive on Saturday morning where a woman told them that a light-skinned black male in a dark gray- or silver-colored Toyota sedan tried to force her into the vehicle as she was walking along North Vista at around 10:45 a.m.
The male drove the car next to her, walked out of the vehicle, and tried to force her into the sedan. The female fought back and pushed the male away, allowing her to run away from him.
While deputies were conducting an investigation, other deputies responded to another reported incident nearby on North Bend Drive near North Rock Drive.
A second female told deputies that a male, who matched the description from the first reported abduction attempt, had forced her off her bicycle and attempted to push her into the car.
She said that she struck the male several times after he grabbed her arm. The male ran to his car and drove away.
Both women were treated by emergency medical services for injuries determined not to be life-threatening.
The suspect is described as a clean-shaven light-skinned black male who stands at a height of between 5-feet 8-inches and 5-feet 9-inches tall and is between 19 and 25 years old. He was wearing khaki pants and a white shirt.
The vehicle is a silver or dark gray colored Toyota sedan with tinted windows and damage to the front right side.
HCSO deputies and Precinct 4 deputy constables are searching the area for the vehicle.
