Victoria, Texas plane crash: Aircraft ran out of fuel, FAA says
HOUSTON - A plane that crashed in Victoria traffic on Wednesday had run out of fuel, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Five people were taken to the hospital after the twin-engine Piper PA-31 crashed in the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Zac Lentz Parkway around 3 p.m., officials said.

One person remains in critical but stable condition, three were treated and released, and the pilot was evaluated at the hospital and released, Victoria police said during a press briefing on Thursday.

According to the FAA, the aircraft ran out of fuel and made an emergency landing in the intersection, striking a light pole and two vehicles. Police said a third vehicle was also involved.

Debris from the crash remained at the scene on Thursday morning but was being cleared out.
