SPRING, Texas - An investigation is now underway following a deadly officer-involved shooting in Spring on Thursday evening.
Officials said the shooting occurred at 150 Valleywood Drive around 6 p.m.
A caller reported to authorities that a white male, who had been issued a criminal trespass warning earlier in the day Thursday was back on the property and refusing to leave. Officials said that was after deputies had responded to two previous calls Thursday regarding the same person not leaving the property. With the first call, authorities said a courtesy warning was given and the second call a criminal trespass was issued after hotel management reported the suspect hadn't left.
Later in the afternoon, authorities said a third call was received from hotel management stating the male had returned to the property.
Officials said hotel management reported the male was asked to leave the property. However, it's unclear as to the reason why.

Deputies arrived and attempted to detain the male to investigate the criminal trespass. However, authorities said the male refused to follow verbal commands and began to resist deputies.
During the encounter, officials said a deputy used their tazer to gain compliance, but was unsuccessful. The man was able to remove the prongs before the suspect complied, he grabbed a gun he had from his property, and began to run from authorities.
Officials said during the foot pursuit, deputies gave multiple commands for the male to stop and drop the weapon. However, the suspect refused to comply and turned toward deputies.
Fearing for their lives, authorities stated one deputy fired their weapon, striking the male multiple times.
Deputies then provided life-saving measures until EMS arrived to take the male to the hospital.
The male later died as a result of his injuries.
The man's name has not yet been released.
The shooting is being investigated by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in tandem with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Rangers.
