Woman killed after tree falls on vehicle in Spring during severe weather
FOX 26 Reporter Matthew Seedorff has more on what happened and has reaction from one nearby neighbor.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - One woman is dead after a tree fell on her vehicle during Monday’s evening thunderstorms in Harris County.
So far the woman hasn’t been identified, but police say the adult victim had been driving alone.

"This is a really unfortunate event, something nobody could of seen coming," said Harris County Constable Pct. 4 Captain Jonathan Zitzmann. "You’ve got someday possibly traveling at a very slow speed in heavy rain, doing all of the right things, and then the unthinkable happens."
Strong thunderstorms rolled through the area much of the afternoon and evening. Police say they had to respond to several incidents of down trees and limbs across northwest Harris County.

A witness called 911 after the tree fell on top of the vehicle that killed the woman. However, when police arrived, no witnesses were still on the scene.
"This is not something we could of predicted, I’m sure she couldn’t have predicted [as well]," said Zitzmann. "It’s a very tragic event. Our heart breaks for her and her family."

Authorities couldn’t provide the victim’s approximate age.
