Texas City shooting: Man, woman found dead on dike
Police are investigating after a man and woman were found dead on the Texas City Dike on Thursday evening.
TEXAS CITY, Texas - The Texas City Police Department is investigating following a shooting on Thursday evening that left two people dead.
Around 5 p.m., police responded to a call about a weapon offense in the 3600 block of Dike Road on Texas City Dike Beach.

Officers arrived to find a man and a woman with apparent gunshot wounds.
According to initial evidence at the scene, police say it appears the man and the woman arrived at the beach together in the same vehicle.

The woman was found dead in the vehicle, and the man was found at the edge of the water. According to police, the man had a gunshot wound that appeared to be self-inflicted.
Police say the shootings appear to be an isolated incident, and they don’t believe there is any threat or danger to the public.
