Talking to children about school shooting

More children killed in another act of senseless violence. The shooting at Santa Fe High School is the 22nd school shooting this year. That's at least 41 killed and 67 injured since January 1. Today's massacre ties for the fifth deadliest school shooting since Columbine. Do we have to tell our children that this is now just a part of life?
