BAYTOWN, Texas - SWAT officers have placed a suspect, who was barricaded near Baytown, in custody, officials said.
On Thursday afternoon, authorities were seen clearing out the scene at 1931 East Freeway, near Thompson.

Adrian G. Reeves, 35, was taken into custody following the standoff in the area.

Officials said Reeves has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of 30-year-old Tomas Newman that occurred on November 26.
Authorities said Newman went to check on a neighbor's house when Reeves allegedly shot him.
