HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Authorities in Spring are investigating a shooting outside a home off Cypresswood Green Drive that left a 6-year-old boy shot twice.
According to Captain Buddy Gheen from Harris County Constable’s Pct. 4, the 6-year-old was shot in the arm and leg while inside a vehicle. Gheen says the incident stems from a fight at school involving middle school-aged girls.
"It does appear it was a designed meet-up," said Gheen.
Law enforcement believes the young girls got into a fight at school on Thursday. After class, at least one of the students was driven to the home off Cypresswood Green Drive to continue the argument.

At some point during the altercation, Gheen says a woman from inside the home came outside with a gun. The woman fired a warning shot into the air. Then, as people started running back towards the vehicle, authorities say she fired at least two more shots. A 6-year-old inside the car was hit.
"It’s absolutely unfortunate that adolescent juveniles are getting to this point where gunfire is now being exchanged," said Gheen.
A woman was arrested Thursday evening and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. So far, no one else has been charged.
