Suspect leads police on high-speed chase in Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, Texas - Fort Worth police and state troopers are involved in a high-speed chase with a suspect.
According to early reports, the suspect in a red Avenger has an outstanding felony warrant. It’s not yet clear why.
At one point the chase reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour on Fort Worth's highways. It slowed down significantly after the suspect began weaving through neighborhoods and the car's front passenger tire blew out.
The vehicle stopped on northbound Highway 199 near the Highway 820 overpass. The suspect has not yet surrendered.
