(FOX 11) - Numerous studies have looked into the health benefits of wine.
The latest study is glowing, but in a bad way.
French nuclear physicists say they discovered radio active particles in many California red wines.
Eighteen bottles of rose and cabernet sauvignon were tested from 2009-2012 for Cesium-137.
They found some of the wine bottled after the 2011 Fukushima nuclear melt down had twice as much radioactive material.
The good news is that the levels are too low for you to worry about.
Of course these were French scientists and France is California's biggest wine competitor.
