Starbucks CEO apologizes after video of arrests
The CEO of Starbucks is apologizing after two African American men were arrested for trespassing at a Starbucks in Philadelphia.
The store manager had called police because the men asked to use the bathroom and had not ordered anything. The two men said they were waiting for a third person to arrive.
Hours later, the men were released from jail without any charges.
This afternoon, the COO and CEO of Starbucks met with Philadelphia’s mayor.
On the Factor to talk about this is University of Houston-Downtown Dr. Kristin Anderson, a fellow for critical race issues.
