Spring Branch business owners, customers of storage unit complex fear for their safety
SPRING BRANCH, Texas - The Houston Police Department's Differential Response Team is investigating the crimes at the business complex and self-storage units at 9025 Ruland Road in Spring Branch.
"I take a lot of pride in my business and my work," said Jordan Leason, Owner of Houston Strength.

For seven years, Jordan says he had no issue with his gym location at 9025 Ruland. But he says that changed a few months ago, now people are living in some of the storage units.
"My staff doesn't feel comfortable coming to work," Jordan says "I'm a 265-pound man, and I don't feel comfortable here at night. We don't know what they're up to, we don't know what's going on. I'm not sure what they're doing about personal hygiene. It smells like a dump in here."
Jordan says he must call the police daily.

Michael Fuqua says he's had a storage unit at 9025 Ruland for a decade. When he came for the first time in a while on Monday, he says he uncovered a crime. A burglar gained entry through an adjacent unit.
"There was a shotgun here, four rifles. I had three pistols right there, passports," said Michael. "I feel so violated right now. I grew up in this place. I've lived my whole life in Spring Branch. I never thought anything like this would happen around here."
Ahmed Raghe, Owner of Motor Village Realty, says people living in the storage units are driving away business.
"They strip all the cars. They take tailgates, wheels from the cars," he said.
