Southwest Freeway crash: 18-wheeler crash at Elgin cleared after several hours

HOUSTON - Traffic is flowing again following an 18-wheeler crash on Southwest Freeway on Sunday afternoon. 

What we know:

Officials said a call came in just before 1 p.m. on Southwest Freeway at Elgin. 

The caller stated an 18-wheeler had been disabled. 

Houston Transtar cameras are showed a large traffic backup in the area on Sunday afternoon. 

However, after several hours, traffic in the area is flowing again. 

What we don't know:

It's unclear what caused the crash to occur as authorities are still investigating.
