14-year-old arrested in farmer's market shooting

A 14-year-old is in police custody in connection to the deadly farmer's market shooting on Thursday. The victim's family confirmed this with FOX 26 as they continue to deal with the tragic loss. FOX 26's Sherman Desselle reports on the heartbreaking story.

A 14-year-old has been taken into custody in connection with a deadly shooting at the Houston Farmers Market, according to the Houston Police Department. 

Houston police made the announcement on their social media page on Friday night. 

That's after a family member of 36-year-old Damon Price, who was killed in the shooting, says they were notified by police that the teen was in custody.

The shooting occurred early Thursday morning at the Houston Farmers Market on Airline Drive.

According to police, two suspects broke into a business and tried to steal a golf cart parked near the exit.

Suspects wanted in Houston Farmers Market shooting

Two young suspects are on the run after Houston police say they shot and killed a man while trying to steal a golf cart. Police have surveillance video of the pair and they're hoping it helps bring the suspects to justice. FOX 26's Jade Flury spoke to the victim's family with more. (NOTE: This report aired June 6.)

Police say an employee, who family identified as Price, confronted them.

According to police, one of the suspects ended up shooting the man multiple times and then fled the scene. Price did not survive his injuries.

Police described the suspects as two very young Hispanic males wearing dark-colored hoodies. They shared surveillance photos of the suspects they were searching for.
