FOX 26 crew helps find missing mother, 7-year-old son in north Houston

FOX 26's Chelsea Edwards shares the details of a miraculous update after a missing mother, who police said is wheelchair bound and mute, and her 7-year-old son were reported missing all night in north Houston.

A FOX 26 crew reporting on a missing mother and her 7-year-old son were able to help find them Thursday morning in north Houston

According to the Houston Police Department's Missing Person's Unit, Samanda or Sandra "Angelina" Ramos and her son Brandon had last been seen in the 800 block of E. Rittenhouse St. around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say the 39-year-old mother is "mute and in a wheelchair."

FOX 26 reporter Chelsea Edwards and photographer Edward Lightbourn were going door to door with another news crew, asking neighbors for information that might lead to their whereabouts. 

One driver stopped and pointed them in the direction of two people she said fit the description.

Ramos and her son were found waiting inside a trailer park outside the home of someone believed to be a family friend.

They reportedly had been walking the area and spent the night at another home.
