Santa Fe ISD students to return to school on May 29
SANTA FE, Texas (FOX 26) - Students in Santa Fe ISD will be returning to school next week.
During a press conference on Monday, Santa Fe ISD officials said students would return to class on Tuesday, May 29, at their regular times. Teachers will return on Wednesday, May 23.
The district says high school students will receive more information from high schools staff regarding a reunification plan for all students and their unique schedule for next week.
Graduation for high school seniors will be held on Friday, June 1, at Joe Raitano Memorial Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
The district closed all schools in the district after a deadly shooting at Santa Fe High School on Friday that left 10 people dead and 13 more injured. A 17-year-old student has been arrested and charged with Capital Murder and Aggravated Assault of a Peace Officer in the shooting.
