Pregnant woman killed in shooting in Baytown

BAYTOWN, Texas - Police say a pregnant woman who was shot in the head at a Baytown apartment has died, but her baby girl was successfully delivered and is recovering at the hospital.
The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. Monday at an apartment in the 1600 block of Garth Road.

According to police, detectives learned that the occupants of a maroon vehicle and a black vehicle had exchanged gunfire near the apartment complex.
Police say one of the bullets entered the woman's nearby apartment, striking her in the head.
She was taken to the hospital by Life Flight. She did not survive her injuries. Police identified her as 23-year-old Domonique Million.
Police say that a 20-year-old man was also shot in the back as he stood outside the apartment. He was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery.
Detectives believe the apartment was targeted.
Detectives identified three persons of interest: Ernest Adams, Jhakeem Monrose, and Shai-Keem Thomas. Police are working to determine what role, if any, they may have had in the shooting.
The case remains under investigation.
