Police searching for suspect who stabbed man to death in Sharpstown

The Houston Police Department investigates a deadly stabbing on Fondren.

Homicide detectives are investigating the deadly stabbing of a male in the southwest Houston neighborhood of Sharpstown.

Houston police were dispatched to the 6600 block of Fondren Rd around 6:37 a.m. Friday.

Police say the stabbing occurred in a business strip parking lot, and it appears that the male then ran to a gas station for help.

Authorities say the attendants at the gas station came to his aid and called 911.

EMS transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Initial information shows the victim argued with a male suspect, before being stabbed.

The suspect then fled scene.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from the incident.
