One dead, another in critical condition after shooting in East Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Harris County Deputies are investigating a shooting that killed one person and left another in critical condition Sunday morning in East Harris County.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says the shooting happened at an apartment complex in the 14000 block of Garber Ln, before 10 a.m. This area is just north of I-10 in the Cloverleaf neighborhood.

The investigation shows multiple shots were fired.
One person was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle and the other was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Both people are adult males.
Investigators say several people have been detained and are being questioned. Deputies say there could be other people who were injured in the shooting, but they have not come forward.
There is no word on the cause of the shooting or the names of those involved.
This is an ongoing investigation.
