RICHARDS, Texas (FOX 26) — The Texas Department of Public Safety is reporting a helicopter has crashed on Bethel Road south of FM 149 in Montgomery County. Troopers have determined one person has died and three people were in the 2009 Euro helicopter contracted by the U.S. Forest Service.
The two people who survived the helicopter crash were taken to a Conroe emergency room by ambulance. They are listed in stable condition.
Texas DPS is monitoring the crash site from the air while the U.S. Forest Service and Montgomery Fire Department is monitoring it on the ground.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the crash.
