HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A convenience store at Pasadena Boulevard and Red Bluff Road was closed for several hours on Monday as police investigated a shooting that involved a detective with the La Porte police department.
The suspect shot has been identified as Jeremy Endsley. Endsley, according to Pasadena police, parked his car and went into the convenience store. It was when he walked out that we was confronted by a detective with the La Porte Police Department.
Endsley was wanted on drug charges and a probation violation warrant which stemmed from a La Porte area narcotic distribution case, according to police.
“The suspect that he was serving the warrant on was struck," said Vance Mitchell, Records Manager with Pasadena Police. "He fired three or four shots, don’t know how many times he struck him.”
Endsley was transported to Bay Shore Hospital and is expected to survive. The La Porte Detective was unharmed in the shooting. Pasadena police released a statement saying no gun was found on Endsley’s body.
