The City of Houston's Solid Waste Management Department says curbside recycling pickup can include:
- Flattened cardboard
- Paper boxes
- Plain wrapping paper and gift bags (no glitter, foil, or decorations)
- Holiday cards and envelopes
For Christmas trees that are about to shed their needles across the home, there are 22 locations across the city to recycle trees that have had their lights and decorations removed. Curbside tree collection is available through January 24.
