LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas - Sunday marked day seven of authorities searching for 57-year-old Sheryl Ann Siddall. Liberty County officials say she was reported missing Sept. 18 but hasn't been seen or heard from since Sept. 12.
Authorities have been searching the area near Horseshoe Lake since the missing report was issued.
"It's going to be an all-day effort and in hopes that we do come to a resolution for the family. The family is really hoping that something happens today that they can get some closure," LCSO Captain David Meyers said.

On Sunday, Captain David Meyers with the Liberty County Sheriff's Office says cadaver dogs alerted to an area in the lake around 1,000 feet from Siddall's residence.
"Due to the few spots of interest that the dogs alerted in an area - I reached out to Baytown Police Department and they're activating their dive team," he said.

According to the sheriff’s office, cadaver dogs and sonar will be used to again search the lake behind her home, and cadaver dogs will also search surrounding properties.

When deputies came to Siddall's home on Sept. 18, they found Donald Lee Hassler, 52, who gave permission for them to search the home.
According to the deputy, he found what he believed to be a blood stain on the kitchen floor and suspected foul play. Authorities say Hassler told them conflicting things about where Siddall was. They also say all of Siddall's possessions, including her car and purse, were still at the home.

Authorities believe they found evidence behind the house to suggest something was dragged into Horseshoe Lake, which borders Siddall's backyard.
Captain Meyers says that over the past few days, they've discovered even more evidence of foul play - but he can't disclose specifics right now.

He says due to the evidence, the nature of this search has changed.
"We pretty much have taken this thing for a few days now as a recovery effort," he said.
Deputies arrested Hassler for having a gun as a convicted felon, but haven't pressed any charges on him concerning Siddall's disappearance.
