A Montgomery County woman with autism has been found two weeks after she went missing, authorities say.
On Monday, the sheriff’s office put out a call to the public for help finding 36-year-old Amanda Cutrara, who had last been seen near her home in New Caney on March 2.

Police said Cutrara, who requires support and assistance from her adult family members, did not have a cell phone and took no clothing or personal belongings with her.
She hadn’t been in contact with family or friends, and Texas EquuSearch helped search the area on March 8 and March 9 but gained no leads, authorities say.

On Thursday, the sheriff’s office says they were notified that a staff member at Kingwood Hospital recognized Cutrara from the missing person flyer.
Authorities went to the scene and confirmed Cutrara’s identity. She was reunited with her loved ones.

The sheriff’s office says they will eventually talk with her about the circumstances of her disappearance, but they are giving her some time to rest and settle back in with family.
"Thank you to the Houston Police Department for their assistance and to everyone who shared information about Amanda," MCSO wrote in a news releases.
