The Houston Police Department investigates a deadly shooting on Hurtgen Forest.
HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating the deadly shooting of a man outside of a convenience store on the city's south side.
The shooting occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday in the 7300 block of Hurtgen Forest Road.

Officers arrived at the scene and found 27-year-old Zachary Marquis McFarlin dead from gunshot wounds.
Police said an investigation revealed McFarlin walked out of the business into a small crowd of people.
Authorities said that's when he was immediately confronted by an unidentified suspect, who produced a pistol and began shooting. We're told McFarlin was struck multiple times.
Police say the suspect walked away after the shooting before getting into a 2015 brown or golden metallic Infinity Q50 with Texas license plates MHK5626. The vehicle was last seen driving on Doolittle Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a Black male, 18-25 years old, 5’5" to 5’8" tall, and weighing about 190-215 pounds.
Authorities are looking to question two persons of interest in connection with the shooting.

Police ask anyone who was there who saw something to call the HPD Homicide Division at (713) 308-3600.
The shooting remains under investigation.
