Man drives truck into bayou running from the police

This morning around 8:30AM the Santa Fe Police Department responded to a disturbance call. At the  hone, a man was shot three times. Following the shooting, the suspect, Robert Thad Becton fled in a blue Chevy Silverado truck. He drove through Kemah  where police attempted to stop the truck, but he did not yield and continued into Chambers County.  Becton  had a female in the vehicle with him who, at some point in the chase, was forced out of the vehicle.  She suffered minor injuries and was interviewed by police.  Becton continued to  run driving  his truck into a wooded area and  then into a bayou  At that point he fled on foot and was subsequently captured and detained by Baytown PD. Santa Fe Police Department  detectives and officers  arrived and took him into custody. The gunshot victim was transported via, Life flight to UTMB, his condition is unknown at this time.
