WHAT: Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston DEI Board Committee will host light bites and conversation in celebration of Juneteenth

Second Annual Juneteenth HBCU Fest (Houston)
WHAT: Several days of events and activities to commemorate Juneteenth and celebrate the contributions of HBCUs.

Juneteenth Emancipation Celebration (Galveston)
WHAT: A night of music at The Grand 1894 Opera House featuring Smokie Norful, Zacardi Cortez and Amber Bullock.

Wells Fargo presents Juneteenth at Miller - Celebration of Freedom (Houston)
WHAT: Two nights of shows that highlight the contributions of African American artists to American music. Night One features the sounds of Blues, Classic R&B and hip-hop. Night Two features the sounds of Jazz and Gospel.

BGCA National Webinar & Watch Party (Galveston)
WHAT: Galveston BGC will live stream the BGCA National Celebration taking place at the Historic Reedy Chapel in Galveston.

United Airlines Freedom Flight (Galveston)
WHAT: Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston Teens will participate in a special program and one and half hour flight across Galveston accompanied by the "Grandmother of Juneteenth," Ms. Opal Lee.

Juneteenth Parade & Picnic (Galveston)
WHAT: The annual Juneteenth parade begins at 1 p.m. in Galveston at 26th Street and Avenue H and ends at 41st Street and Avenue H. A picnic follows at Wright Cuney Park until 5 p.m.

WHAT: A family-friendly event with food, a vendor market and the 2023 Juneteenth of Men of Purpose Awards

Mayor Turner’s Annual Acres Homes Juneteenth Parade (Houston)
WHAT: The annual parade begins at Acres Homes Multi-Service Center, travels north on W. Montgomery, west on Dolly Wright and ends on 1620 Dolly Wright at Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
WHEN: June 17; 10 a.m.

Juneteenth Freedom Run/Walk (Houston)
WHAT: A free (donations accepted) walk around the neighborhood for the whole family. There will also be vendors and food trucks.
WHEN: June 17; 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Juneteenth Music Festival (Houston)
WHAT: Enjoy a free evening of concerts by V Michael McKay, Step Rideau, Lakeside and The SOS Band. There will also be vendors and food trucks.

Charles Brown Juneteenth Celebration and Parade (Texas City)
WHAT: The parade begins at 5 p.m. at Texas City High School and ends at Bay Street Park. Right after, head to the outdoor festival with food trucks, a BBQ cook-off, moonwalks, vendors and concerts.

BLCK Market's 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration
WHAT: Shop from 100 small Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs in one place.

Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom (Houston)
WHAT: An afternoon of performances by Soultre ft. Kollett, The Goodfellaz, Matthew Hartnett and The Gumbo Allstars, Anthony Hall, Mario, Kai Hicks, Jenni P., and DJs Chilly Bill Smith and Thundercat. There will also be food trucks, a market and the Vibe Culture Lounge.

Reedy Chapel Party & Emancipation March (Galveston)
WHAT: Fun-filled family block party in celebration of Juneteenth & Father's Day with a special performance of the Youth Chorale at 5:30 p.m. followed by the Historic Emancipation March.

ASTROS Juneteenth Celebration of Fathers (Houston)
WHAT: A reception and game experience for five Black fathers and their children at Minute Maid Park

Juneteenth Freedom Ride (Houston)
WHAT: This 20-mile bike ride travels through historic neighborhoods and commemorative sites.
WHEN: June 19; check-in begins at 8 a.m.; bike ride begins at 9 a.m. sharp.
