Light sleet reported in Houston-area, hard-freeze warning tonight
HOUSTON, TX - Light sleet has hit some neighborhoods in the Houston-area. We're receiving multiple reports of sleet falling--from Downtown Houston to Galveston. Neighbors in Dickinson and Galveston County have spotted sleet hitting the ground in their yards and on their cars. Expect to see flakes/pellets in Fort Bend, Brazoria and Galveston County, according to FOX 26 Meteorologist Mike Iscovitz.
With temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s, please drive with extreme caution since there could be patches of ice forming and the possibility of snow flurries. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until 10 am on Tuesday, and a Hard Freeze Warning is in effect until 9 a.m. Tuesday morning and tonight.
