HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Three teenagers who died after a tragic crash following a 45-second police chase were Klein ISD students. Sixteen-year-old Alexander Romero and 14-year-old Jose Cruz attended Klein Collins High School. Fourteen-year-old Christopher Granados attended Klein Oak High School.
Klein ISD says, "Our thoughts are with all affected families during this time."
Three others were injured, but survived the wreck, after a police chase ended in a fatal crash in Spring. It happened on Rolling Terrace at Sorrel Ridge Drive in Northwest Harris County on Jan. 2.

In just a 45-second chase, speeds reached 90 miles an hour and the SUV smashed into a tree.
Residents say even experienced drivers have had trouble with this turn for years and just after midnight a boy who was barely old enough to drive lost control in the curve and died, taking two of his friends with him.
"It sounded like a big explosion almost," says one witness, Jimmy.

"I feel bad for their parents because I mean mine is about to graduate. I would hate to be the one to lose my child. They're in high school. It's the best years of their lives," says one father who was picking up his child from Klein Collins.
Their loved ones are left heartbroken, as it's clearly stated by relatives on GoFundMe pages now set up for the three teenagers who died.
"It is very sad. I have a 17-year-old daughter that goes here. Right away I felt it. I don't wish those kinds of situations to happen to anybody. It's unfortunate. It's heartbreaking," says Mac Miguel whose daughter attends Klein Collins.
"My heart goes out to the parents," says another Klein ISD parent.

"I'm surprised in a big town like this there's nothing better to do than steal a car. It's heart-wrenching. Prayers for the parents and the kids. I hope the ones that did survive, I hope this is a wake up call for them," says Diana.
Deputies say none of the boys were wearing seatbelts. Masks, screwdrivers and hammers were found in the vehicle but investigators say they're not sure what the teens were doing before the deputy tried to pull them over.
According to online posts, a service for one boy is being held today and the other two are being laid to rest this weekend.
