PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) "May your spirit be with the Lord Tyrell. Let yours go. Now watch it go up," said family members to two sisters, a 10-year-old and 2-year-old,  as they released balloons in memory of their father.

"What's going on God? We need you more now than ever," prayed a woman standing before the crowd.

Family gathered outside a relative’s home on North 51st Street Monday evening to remember 29-year-old Tyrell Boggs who is a husband and father.  Police say around 12:10 Sunday morning Boggs returned from the store  to his home on the 3400 block of Braddock Street in Kensington.

His two daughters and 15-year old sister were with him when two gunman approached and opened fire.

"Angry, upset and hurt. It’s a whole bunch of mixed emotions," said Mikeya Hall. She’s the victim’s sister-in-law.  She’s worried about her grieving sister who was too heartbroken to speak on camera and the victim's young children.

"My nieces growing up and also their brother growing up without a father. Just having to live the pain of being there and  watching their  dad die right there in front of their eyes. it's crazy," said Hall.  The crowd shared kind words about Boggs as they held candles.  The victim was also a boxer preparing for a fight in September.

"Tyrell Boggs was an American dad. He worked every day as a school bus driver to provide for his family," said his cousin-in-law Pamela Williams.

Family members tell us police have made one arrest. We contacted them to confirm whether an arrest was made and whether they’re looking for a second suspect. We’re waiting to hear back from them. Meanwhile, family members say they don't know why someone would want to hurt Boggs but they're pleading for answers.
