HOUSTON - Who would steal three horses? A question many in Katy are wondering right now.
Three horses were stolen from a property on Katy Hockley Cut Off Road between August 15 and August 16, according to their owner, Lauren St. Hilaire.

The horses, Bella, El, and Silo, were reported missing to the Houston County Sheriff's Office.
St. Hilaire says she was on a business trip when her friend called saying the horses were missing.
She walked the property multiple times before realizing a section of her fence was cut, then re-tied together.
"I have no clue how anyone could steal three horses and think its ok," she said.
"El and Bella were horses I dreamed of owning. Silo was the first horse I ever bought. They were my safe place," she said.
She says authorities believe the horses might have been led across the road then loaded into a trailer. St. Hilaire says she thinks the horses may have even been sedated.
She has collaborated with Stolen Horse International, also known as NetPosse, a 501(c)(3) organization with a long history of reuniting missing horses with their owners.
NetPosse says they issued a NetPosse Alert, similar to an Amber Alert, and has been actively sharing flyers and information about the missing horses. The flyer has gained significant traction on social media, with over 3,000 shares in just over 24 hours.
St. Hilaire says NetPosse connected her with other agencies who are now assisting.
"The Texas special livestock agents actually contacted us. They were immediately out here, started tracking them," she said. "They actually contacted Border Patrol in case they try to cross out horses into Mexico."
