Magnolia ISD facing federal lawsuit

FOX 26 Reporter Tiffany Justice has more on the lawsuit and why it has been filed.

We have an update on a lawsuit that was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Texas against Magnolia ISD calling their hair policy ‘explicit gender discrimination’ against students.

According to the ACLU, a judge temporarily blocked enforcement of the school district's hair policy. 

The judgment means that students can return to school without cutting their hair.

In a tweet, the ACLU of Texas said, "All Texas students have the right to an education free from discrimination."
