VICTORIA, Texas - Nine undocumented immigrants were injured when a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement bus and a tractor-trailer were involved in a crash in Victoria County on Friday morning, officials say.
According to Texas DPS, the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on US-59.
Officials say the bus was traveling southbound on the highway, transporting 19 undocumented immigrants to Laredo.

The driver missed the exit to Laredo and hit the brakes as he tried to make the next turn, Texas DPS says. Officials say a tractor-trailer traveling southbound also hit the brakes, jack-knifed and hit the back of the bus.
Nine passengers on the bus were taken to the hospital. Their injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.
Officials say only one person remains hospitalized with two broken legs and a broken nose after being extricated from the wreckage.
