Houston weather: Strong cold front, showers forecasted Sunday evening
HOUSTON - A major pattern change is on the way to Southeast Texas this weekend. You can expect highs for Saturday in Houston to remain in the low 70s with mostly cloudy skies, there is a chance for a light shower or two.
It will warm up even more on Sunday with morning temperatures in the mid-60s with highs in the mid-70s. A strong cold front will be sweeping across the region on Sunday evening.

Ahead of the front we could be seeing showers and thunderstorms, some strong to severe. The main weather threats would be heavy rain, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado.
