SUGGESTED:Houston traffic: I-45 North Freeway southbound lanes shut down due to fatal auto-pedestrian crash
Officials say that three lanes on Highway 59 heading northbound at University Boulevard, including two on the feeder road, have been closed as a result of broken up watermelons covering the road.

Around 3:35 am, an 18-wheeler crashed into a large concrete pillar holding an illuminated freeway sign, according to police.
The container on the truck was ripped open and watermelon spilled onto the freeway and feeder.
Officials say they do not know when the lanes will open back up, but traffic is still passing on the left lanes.
