With the potential for severe weather Sunday local emergency management officials say they want you to be prepared.

From rain, to tornadoes, the system has the possibility for just about anything. A storm front moving in from the west could bring on average 2 to 4 inches of rain. Flash flooding may be seen in northern counties like Polk, Walker and San Jacinto.

Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management officials say if at all possible, just stay home and be safe. "Hopefully people will have time to check the forecast, check transportation before they go anywhere and with it being on the weekend hopefully folks will exercise the option to stay home if they do find themselves in a situation where they are in a community that is receiving the most severe weather", says spokesperson Francicso Sanchez.
