Houston shooting: Large fight in East End ends with 1 dead, 1 injured

A man was killed and another was injured when an argument escalated into a large fight in Houston’s East End on Wednesday night, police say.

The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. in the 7400 block of Avenue H.

According to Houston police, the two men are believed to have damaged a vehicle earlier in the day.

They went to the location on Avenue H that night and got into an argument with the vehicle’s owner, police say.

The argument turned into a large fight, and police believe one of the men tried to stab the vehicle owner.

Police say the vehicle owner then started to shoot. One man died and another was injured and taken to the hospital.

Police say multiple people are in custody, and they are interviewing witnesses.

Multiple firearms were recovered at the scene, authorities say.
