Houston shooting: 2 dead, 2 injured on Greens Bayou Street

Two men are dead and two others are in the hospital after a shooting in East Houston on Tuesday night.

What we know:

The shooting was reported around 10 p.m. in the 12900 block of Greens Bayou Street. Police say the large, fenced-in property appears to be used to store vehicles and there are storage containers in the back.

Four men, in their 30s, were wounded. One died at the scene and another died at the hospital. Two others were driven to nearby medical facilities in private vehicles. They sustained multiple gunshot wounds but are expected to survive their injuries.

Police say narcotics and money were found at the scene. They also seen confiscating a Cadillac sedan at the property.

What we don't know:

The four men who were injured in the shooting have not been identified.

Homicide investigators are still trying to determine what led up to the shooting.

It’s unclear how many people were at the scene when the shots ran out and if anyone else was involved.

Nearby residents heard arguing, gunfire

What they're saying:

People who live in the area told police they heard arguing before two bursts of gunfire. They heard about seven shots, a pause, and then about seven more gunshots, police say.

A witness who knows some of the people at the property called his friend, who didn’t answer, so he went and checked, police say. He found his friend shot and started rendering aid.
