Houston Marathon, Half Marathon closures, parking

The Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Half Marathon will take place in downtown Houston early on Sunday morning.

Street closures for the starting line will take effect at 5:30 a.m. Sunday with rolling closures beginning at 6 a.m.

METRO Park and Ride and METRO Rail will be available on race day and if you are a runner and wear your marathon or half marathon race bib, you can ride METRO services for free.

The HOUSTON B Cycle bicycle sharing program is also a great transportation alternative that will allow you to rent, ride and dock the bicycle, while enjoying the first thirty minutes free from Friday to Saturday.

If you want to drive your own vehicle into downtown Houston, parking is available in privately-owned service lots and parking garages around the George R. Brown Convention Center. The marathon does not control pricing or hours and please be prepared to pay cash.
