2023 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo concert lineup announced

FOX 26 Reporter Matthew Seedorff has the full concert lineup list as well as reaction from rodeo fans.

The 2023 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is quickly approaching, and we now know who will be performing each night of the rodeo.

"I’ve been waiting for this since the last day of rodeo last year," said Chinedu, a comedian performing at the Houston Rodeo.  "I’ve been very excited.  I cannot wait until opening day."

"The lineup is incredible," said Lili and Claudia, rodeo fans. "I think it’s really cool. They have quite a few country artists this year. Even some of the pop artists are new. I think it has a lot of potential."

"I’m happy to see Jason Aldean back," said Danielle and Amanda, rodeo fans. "I haven’t seen him since I was in college. Love seeing Jon Pardi on the list and Turnpike of course. Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum. The list could goes on."

"It’s a lot [of work] picking these artists," said Houston Rodeo President Chris Boleman. "We take a lot of things into account. What’s going on in the industry. We know Houston is a diverse community, so we want to do some different things there, and you have to align it with the guys and gals when they’re on tour and when they’re not. There’s a lot of moving pieces to get us to this point."

"It’s a big day for me," said Bun B, a rap artist and Houston native.  "I don’t take it lightly."

Bun B will be performing at the Houston rodeo for a second straight year on Black Heritage Day.

"We’re trying to make sure the people on the stage reflect the people in the stands," said Bun B. "For me to be a Black person from Houston headlining the rodeo, for so many people in this city it’s a big deal.  We come up, we entertain people, and we don’t want to let them down."

"It’s 20 days of party," said Roland Orsak.  "What can’t you say?  This year’s lineup is stacked.  They’ve done it again."
