The Houston Independent School District Board of Trustees has voted unanimously to approve a performance audit of the district at a cost that will not exceed $2.5 million.

The trustees also voted unanimously to allow students that currently attend Blackshear, Lockhart or MacGregor, to be able to attend Baylor College of Medicine Academy at Ryan without having to apply.

So many people attended Thursday nights board meeting that an overflow room was set up and people decided to watch in the hallway as well.
