HOUSTON - FOX 26 has learned that the Houston Astros organization is providing an opportunity of a lifetime for their staff members to attend a World Series game in Philadelphia.
A spokesman tells FOX 26 Reporter Matthew Seedorff, full-time employees were given the opportunity, along with part-time employees with 20 or more years of service.
The Astros are getting their employees to Philadelphia on a charter for Game 3 and Game 4 of the World Series.
"We’re able to stay tonight," said Ryan Veinotte, a full-time employee with the Astros. "It’s great. They got us tickets [and] plus ones. We’re able to explore the city while we’re here."
"It’s cool to watch everyone be appreciated," said Austin Moore, a full-time employee with the Astros. "Our owner is a very family oriented guy. He has given us the opportunity to do that with our families and all of us at once. It’s been cool."
"Just having the opportunity to fly out here with all of my friends from work and stuff and experience this, it’s absolutely amazing," said Moore.
"They make you feel really special," said Stig Daniels, a part-time worker with the Astros. "The club has done a really good job rolling out the red carpet for us."
Daniels is a full-time high school teacher in Katy. He has worked part-time with the Astros for the last 28 years as a cameraperson.
"I’ve never been to a World Series game that I haven’t worked, but I’ve worked quite a few all of the way back to 2005," said Daniels.

At the game as a fan for Game 3 of the World Series, Daniels wore a crown to support Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker.
"I had someone give me a crown on game 2, so I could wear it up here," said Daniels. "I [wanted to] represent one of our best players up in the stands."
Each employee will go to one game, stay overnight, and then return to Houston.
