Hempstead train crash: Unoccupied car hit by Union Pacific train

HOUSTON - A major crash between a Union Pacific train and a vehicle is under investigation in northwest Houston.

Around 4:15 a.m. at 9549 Hempstead Road, a train hit an unoccupied vehicle near I-610, says Union Pacific officials.

The incident is being investigated.
