Harris County train, propane truck crash along US-290 injures 2

Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash involving a train and a propane truck in northwest Harris County on Wednesday morning, officials say.

The crash occurred in the 24900 block of the US-290 Northwest Freeway, near Beltway 8.

According to the sheriff's office, a work truck carrying propane tanks was struck by the train while crossing the railroad trestle.

The sheriff's office says two occupants in the truck were taken to the hospital and are in good condition.

The Cy-Fair Fire Department says there are no environmental hazards as a result of the crash.

Eastbound feeder road traffic is being impacted along the crash scene.

Texas DPS is leading the investigation.
