Harris County shooting: Teen killed, brother injured on William Tell

The Harris County Sheriff's Office investigates a shooting on William Tell.

A teen is dead and his brother is in the hospital after a shooting at a home in north Harris County early Monday morning.

The incident occurred around midnight in the 2400 block of William Tell.

According to the sheriff’s office, it appears a family and some friends were at the home when someone fired a gun.

A 19-year-old was shot and killed. His 17-year-old brother was also shot. The younger brother was taken to the hospital and was last reported to be in fair condition.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says an investigation has been completed at the scene and a follow-up investigation is being conducted.

Investigators were speaking with witnesses and working to determine if the shooting was accidental or intentional.

The sheriff’s office says at least six people, including adults, were in the house at the time of the shooting, and they are cooperating with the investigation.
