Harris County shooting: Man allegedly kills homeowner after being kicked out of house

Authorities investigate a deadly shooting on Pebble Springs Drive.

A man who was recently kicked out of a house in Harris County returned in the middle of the night and ended up shooting the homeowner to death during an argument, the sheriff says.

The shooting was reported at a home in the 5700 block of Pebble Springs Drive around 12:15 a.m. Thursday.

The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office initially responded to a report of a shooting and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead.

Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office then responded to the scene.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, it appears several people, including young children, live at the home. A man was recently kicked out but returned at night and argued with the homeowner, the sheriff says.

The man allegedly then shot the homeowner and fled the scene. Authorities have not released the identity of a homeowner or the suspected shooter.

The sheriff said multiple people were detained at the scene.
