"It's very heartbreaking. We're normally a tight-knit community around here. We're all family oriented," says neighbor Tracy Carney.

"It is kind of scary. It's very scary. It's very scary," adds Debbie, who's also a neighbor in the complex.

"I think he's around 18,19 (years old) and he's normally outside with the rest of us and the kids. We play catch. We've let him come into the house and play the game. We feed the kids. He's normally very respectful around here," Carney explains.

"The Harris County Sheriff's Office has been called to this (home) before, and an arrest was made. We've also learned the Houston Police Department has had two arrests with this same suspect," explains Sgt. Charlotte Webster with the Harris County Sheriff's Office, who says the previous arrests have also been for family violence.

"I just pray for the young man and hope he's in good spirits, hope his mental health is together. Whatever he has going on we just hope God can be with him," Carney adds.
