Officials urge water safety after drownings
Officials are urging water safety following three drownings over the weekend in Harris County.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Harris County authorities have discovered the body of a missing man last seen swimming on Sunday evening.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the man, who was possibly 50 years old, was said to be last seen at Magnolia Garden, swam to a small island, then was reportedly seen swimming to the other side of the river.
Initially, Gonzalez said it was unclear if the man made it across or went under.

The marine unit and other support personnel searched for the man, during which they found his body.
