Galveston County crash on I-45 at FM 517; multiple vehicles involved

The roadway has reopened after a major multi-vehicle crash on I-45 in Galveston County.

The crash was reported Wednesday morning in the southbound lanes at FM 517.

According to Houston Transtar, at least nine vehicles were involved in the crash.

It’s unclear at this time if anyone was injured in the crash. Emergency responders were at the scene.

The roadway reopened before 8:50 a.m.
